New HM Transport P2P Route: Alabang Town Center to BGC!

Updated: Jul 14, 2021

With the recent shift to General Community Quarantine (GCQ) in Metro Manila, the Department of Transportation released a community guideline for Road Transport sector, one of which is the use of cashless payments in public transportations.

HM Transport is one of the few bus companies allowed during GCQ to operate because of their ability to accommodate cashless payments. Cashless payment enables you to minimize two main contact points of manual ticketing– bus tickets and cash handling. Bus tickets are passed on through different channels from production, inventory, dispatch until it is issued by conductors to passengers, which will be then subject to physical check by inspectors. Second contact point is the exchange of money to pay for fare. During transit, the tickets and money are held by the transport employee, and are exposed to the elements that once contaminated, will be passed on to others.

By utilizing cashless payments such as TRIPKO, the passenger only needs to tap the card on to the TICKETKO device without any contact with the conductor or driver therefore minimizing the two mentioned contact points, thus protecting the commuting public and the transport companies’ employees.

On June 1st, HM Transport P2P announced a new route servicing Alabang Town Center to Market! Market! on which we have successfully launched TRIPKO’s 4th route to the public the following day. Ka-TRIPKOs can avail their card via our Promo staff at Makati Supermart Alabang bus terminal.

With the pilot route launched last August 2019 Market! Market! to Starmall Alabang and Market! Market! to Pacita P2P routes, followed by Dyipko Lawton to PITX, expect more run as we continuously partner up with more transport companies.

With the “New Normal”, transport companies are required by Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) to keep a trip manifest or logbook of their passengers for easier contact tracing amidst the pandemic.

With TRIPKO, contact tracing is made easier. Trip manifest or logbook will no longer be needed as it encourages passengers to register their TRIPKO card, thus every time they ride a bus, their trip is automatically recorded upon tapping.

In addition, by registering, passengers can get the latest updates on promos and new routes, check their load balance, and view their travel history- anytime, anywhere through web or mobile app. The best thing is, they are automatically entitled to free Ps 10,000 Personal Accident Insurance for 1 year from COCOGEN!

What are you waiting for? Avoid COVID-19 now and pay contactless with TRIPKO!
