What is TRIPKO?


TRIPKO is a reloadable payment card used for PUVs. It makes commuting much more convenient because of;

Where can I buy and load my TRIPKO card?


You can buy and reload TRIPKO in selected bus and partner merchants.




How much is TRIPKO? Can I reload the card?


Initial card is FREE and initial load required is from P 50. You can reload for as low as P 20 and the card can store up to a maximum value of P 5,000.




Is there a required maintaining balance?


None – there is no minimum balance required to keep the card active.
However, to pay for routes with implemented TAP IN TAP OUT system, your card should have a maintaining balance based on the amount of route's full fare. This is to fulfill the requirement of transport operators.




Is there a convenience fee every time I reload?


None – there is no service charge for all transactions.




Where can I use TRIPKO?


TRIPKO can be used for partner buses and modern jeepneys, nationwide. In the future, it will be used for other modes of transportation as well as payment for goods and services. List will be updated accordingly.




How long I can use my TRIPKO card?


The TRIPKO card can be used for 3 years from purchase date. Any unused load can be transferred to the replacement card after 3 years when you surrender your old card.




What is the TRIPKO Mobile App?


The TRIPKO App is where you can check your balance, transaction history, and card information.





HOW TO USE

How do I pay using TRIPKO card?


TRIPKO is a contactless card, so you simply need to tap the card in the PUVs device to make your payment.




How do I know if a PUV accepts TRIPKO?


A signage bearing the TRIPKO logo should be in the windshield or window of the PUV.




Where can I check my load balance?


Login to your account on My TRIPKO at www.tripko.com.ph or via the TRIPKO App. Use the credentials sent to your email upon registration.




Where can I view my trips?


Login to your account on My TRIPKO at www.tripko.com.ph using the credentials sent to your email upon registration.




How do I register my TRIPKO card?


Upon claiming your FREE TRIPKO card, you are required to accomplish a form and have your card registered. This is to control abuse of getting FREE card and verify that you are a first time TRIPKO card user.




How do I change my password?


  • via Website
    Login using your email and temporary password sent to your email.
    Go to “Change Password”, input your old and new password then click submit.
  • via TRIPKO App
    Login using your email and temporary password sent to your email.
    Go to “My TRIPKO” and click edit icon on the upper right corner of your screen. Choose “Change Password”, input your old and new password then click submit.




How do I reload using GCash?


On our booth, scan the GCash QR Code and type your desired amount to load. Show the confirmation message to our teller and they will reload your card based on the shown amount.

Can somebody else use my TRIPKO card?


Yes, anyone who has your TRIPKO card can use it.




How do I report a defective card?


You may report it via our FB page, website, app, or call our 24/7 hotline, (+63) 9985-TRIPKO (874756) and you will be guided through the process.




How do I report a lost or stolen card?


You may report it via the website, app, or call our 24/7 hotline, (+63) 9985-TRIPKO (874756) and you will be guided through the process.




I was deducted more than the fare indicated, what should i do?

How do I pay if my card has insufficient balance?


You will have to reload in order to use the card in riding the vehicle.




Is there any discount fare for senior citizens and students using TRIPKO?


This will depend on the merchants’ discount policy.




How do I claim for my accident insurance coverage? (For registered cards not later Sept 2020)


You may report it via the website, app, or call our 24/7 hotline, (+63) 9985-TRIPKO (874756) within 3 days from date of accident and we will guide you through the process. This only applies for TRIPKO cardholders who registered their card within Aug. 2019 – Aug. 2020.




Will my personal information be kept confidential?


Yes. TRIPKO abides by the Data Privacy Act of the Philippines. Please refer to Privacy Policy.




Why can’t I view the recent transactions on my TRIPKO account?


Your recent transactions are reflected to your account within 24 hours.




What if I haven’t received my credentials after registration, how can I access my account?


This case happens when you have misspelled or used a different email address upon registration. For assistance, you may call our 24/7 hotline (+63) 9985-TRIPKO (874756) to update your account with the correct email address and the login credentials will be sent to you.




What if I can’t tap my card because the tapping device on bus has no battery?


Driver is provided with a device charger connected to the vehicle battery. This means that as long as the vehicle battery is active, then so does the tapping device.




What causes the error message when I tap my card on the device?


This error message may be caused by wrong dispatch indicated or wrong tapping of TRIPKO card. If this happens, take away the card from the device for a while then try to tap again.




What should I do when the bus has TRIPKO signage but driver is not accepting my TRIPKO card?


You may report it via the website, app, or call our 24/7 hotline, (+63) 9985-TRIPKO (874756) indicating the details of the incident.





DO's & DON'Ts

Do's


  1. Reload your TRIPKO card before the stored value runs out to avoid inconvenience.
  2. Hold your TRIPKO card steadily over the reader. Make sure to remove your card upon start of printing.
  3. Keep your TRIPKO card free from physical damage, stickers or other adhesives.




Don'ts


  1. Don’t hold your TRIPKO card with other contactless cards over the reader at the same time.
  2. Don’t move your TRIPKO card away from the reader too quickly. For TAP IN-wait for the success icon to appear, TAP OUT - remove your card once the ticket starts printing.
  3. Don’t bend, write, wet, scratch, cut or paste something on your TRIPKO.
